Background from the country of origin:

 

This coffee comes from the Asociación Café del Futuro, a cooperative founded in 2007 that brings together over 300 farmers from the Jaén region in Peru. The Asociación stands for high-quality coffees with selected varieties and a strong focus on certified cultivation. The farmers grow varieties such as Caturra, Bourbon, and Mundo Novo, which thrive in the region between Jaén and San Ignacio.

The cooperative helps farmers finance drying houses that allow them to carefully dry their coffee and protect it from rain. Around 95% of the producers already use these drying houses. The coffees are grown at altitudes between 1,600 and 2,000 meters, benefiting from the ideal conditions in this region.
